Members of the events management team at LEGO Systems approached us in 2009 about providing fans with an interactive experience they could roll out across the country. We worked with their team to create the nationally touring LEGO® KidsFest, which provided families an interactive and immersive experience unlike any other. In 2013, BuzzEngine was awarded Best Proprietary Event by Event Marketer Magazine for the LEGO KidsFest. The tour made nearly 50 stops in the U.S. and Canada and welcomed over one million visitors.

Shake Shack

When Shake Shack opens a new Shack in your town, it’s cause for excitement. When that town is home to the founder’s alma mater, it’s really big news! BuzzEngine was engaged to help hype the opening of West Hartford’s Shake Shack at Corbin’s Corner as a homecoming for restaurateur extraordinaire and Trinity College alum Danny Meyer. We set up in-restaurant previews for media, influencers, and area VIPs and arranged for Shack Burgers to be dropped at some of Greater Hartford’s top culinary destinations. Best of all, Shake Shack received impressive coverage from major affiliates, online outlets, newsprint, and food bloggers.

When Farscape and Comic Con favorite Gigi Edgley and The Voice contestant and singer-songwriter Jake Edgley brought their Wanderland Tour from Australia to the United States, the local promoter needed to give their Connecticut stop a boost. autorino center at University of st. joseph

When the Autorino Center for the Performing Arts at the University of Saint Joseph found themselves without a designer a month out from needing their 2018-2019 season brochure in the mail, BuzzEngine came through. Working quickly and closely with the venue’s artistic leadership, BuzzEngine developed a gorgeous 32-page brochure that highlights the diversity of the Autorino Center’s offerings. Next up: a complete suite of rack cards, posters, and digital advertising that will bring a cohesive look throughout the year.

Auricchio and Jamie “The Bear” McDonald were looking to launch their new craft barbecue restaurant in West Hartford’s Blue Back Square, they turned to BuzzEngine for a variety of services. LEGO Systems

When LEGO Systems Inc. U.S. was looking to celebrate a milestone anniversary, they reached out to BuzzEngine to make sure the party rocked from start to finish. With 500 guests in attendance and dozens of activities, it was a lot to juggle — but we enjoyed every minute. The event featured a barbecue luncheon, three bands, a replica of the DeLorean from Back to the Future, a mechanical shark, zip lines, hors d’oeuvres, a custom creation by Charm City Cakes (a.k.a. The Ace of Cakes), escape rooms, a scavenger hunt, and much, much more. BuzzEngine worked closely with the LEGO team to create a memorable event incorporating advance in-house promotion, operations and logistics, and staffing.

DK Publishing

DK Publishing, which publishes LEGO® books, asked us, as one of the sponsors of the LEGO® KidsFest, to create and manage a fun and interesting experience as part of the nationally touring show. We developed “The DK Reading Rest Stop,” which offered a variety of LEGO books for family members to read in a cozy and calm environment. DK was thrilled with the experience and was part of the show since its inception in 2009.

Film and theatre artist and entrepreneur Cie Peterson’s fledgling Two Clouds and a Waffle Productions needed a speedy jump-start on two initiatives: First, promotion for upcoming acting intensive workshops; second, a casting call for a new web series entitled Beige on Both Sides. With a very limited timeframe, BuzzEngine jumped in to provide press and social media support resulting in two successful workshops and casting of the ideal little girl for the role of Brooklyn. BuzzEngine will continue efforts to build awareness for Beige on Both Sides during filming and leading up to release. We are very excited to promote a woman-owned and operated independent production company.

When LEGO Systems, Inc. wanted to find a new way to reach children for a brand-in-hand experience, BuzzEngine hit a home run with the LEGO® Play Ball Tour. In 2017, a 15-city minor league baseball stadium tour criss-crossed the country. Pairing with AA and AAA ballparks and LEGO, BuzzEngine created a family-friendly pre-game/gametime activity area and in-game experiences at no added cost to baseball fans.

To mark the occasion of their 30th annivesary, OUTFILM CT asked BuzzEngine to help share the exciting news. Boy Scouts of America/Family AdventureFest

Members of the national leadership team at the Boy Scouts of America asked us to provide a pilot experience for families that embodies the spirit of what the Boy Scouts are all about. We created the “Family AdventureFest,” a three-day event featuring physically appealing activities such as rock walls, paddle boarding, BMX racing and much more. In addition, we brought in nationally-known talent as well as local experts to do presentations. To track guests and provide the Boy Scouts with follow-up information, we obtained information about which activities attendees loved through a highly-successful RFID tracking system.

This niche company, most noted for its ability to customize and manufacture slides and other products for those in the microbiology field, was looking to improve its sales base. We recommended and then created a course of direct mail, e-newsletters and marketing avenues as a way for them to reach academic and corporate institutions with new products they wanted to introduce. Positive results were seen in web traffic and sales almost immediately.

Knowing BuzzEngine’s deep understanding of the LEGO® consumer, Santoki LLC asked us to help launch their new line of buildable LEGO® Stationery with activations at LEGO® KidsFest and Play Fair. In addition, we provided marketing and social media presence to build awareness.
