vstar entertainment group
One of the nation's leading multi-concept media and entertainment platforms and producer of consumer shows and events, VStar Entertainment Group turned to BuzzEngine to help reimagine one of their touring experiences. Our work included consumer and competitive event research, ideation and creative concepting, high tech experience integration, management of RFP process for high tech activity development, floor plan design, and support of operations and marketing functions.
Members of the events management team at LEGO Systems approached us in 2009 about providing fans with an interactive experience they can roll out across the country. We worked with their team to create the nationally touring LEGO KidsFest, which provided families an interactive and immersive experience unlike any other. In 2013, BuzzEngine was awarded Best Proprietary Event by Event Marketer Magazine for the LEGO KidsFest. The tour made nearly 50 stops in the U.S. and Canada and welcomed over one million visitors.
warner bros. games™
WB Games asked BuzzEngine to create a dynamic indoor-outdoor activation to build awareness for a groundbreaking new video game. The result: a visually stunning environment with an interactive touch wall and individual gaming stations that has been featured at E3 LIVE in Los Angeles, at Universal Studios Florida’s Harry Potter Celebration, D23 (Disney’s fan event), and elsewhere.
THE SHOPS AT SOMERSET SQUARE
In 2016, Rouse Properties, managers for three-dozen upscale malls and shopping centers across the country, acquired their first property in the Northeast: The Shops at Somerset Square in Glastonbury, CT. Knowing that they wanted to make this charming, walkable lifestyle center into a destination for upscale shoppers and diners, Rouse Properties hired BuzzEngine to create a series of innovative and interactive monthly events.
LEGO® PLAY BALL TOUR
When LEGO® Systems, Inc. wanted to find a new way to reach children for a brand-in-hand experience, BuzzEngine hit a home run with the LEGO Play Ball Tour. A cross-country, 15-city minor league baseball stadium tour is currently underway. Pairing with AA and AAA ballparks and LEGO, BuzzEngine has created a family-friendly pre-game/gametime activity area and in-game experiences at no added cost to baseball fans.
For two years, BuzzEngine has worked with State Farm for some of their national event activations. This includes ideation and concepting of the consumer experience, location scouting, interface with event producers, asset management and activation logistics and operations.
SCIENTIFIC DEVICE LABORATORY
This niche company, most noted for its ability to customize and manufacture slides and other products for those in the microbiology field, was looking to improve its sales base. We recommended and then created a course of direct mail, e-newsletters and marketing avenues as a way for them to reach academic and corporate institutions with new products they wanted to introduce. Positive results were seen in web traffic and sales almost immediately.
DK Publishing, which publishes LEGO books, asked us, as one of the sponsors of the LEGO KidsFest, to create and manage a fun and interesting experience as part of the nationally touring show. We developed “The DK Reading Rest Stop,” which offers a variety of LEGO books for family members to read in a cozy and calm environment. DK is thrilled with this experience and has been a part of the show since its inception in 2009.
Food and wine shows
BuzzEngine began as LIFE Marketing & Events, and started with operating food and wine shows across southern New England. We managed the long-running Mohegan Sun Winefest, and owned and operated the Great Taste and Newport WineFest. We managed every facet of the shows, from logistics and marketing, to selling-in vineyards, and wrangling celebrity chefs.
Knowing BuzzEngine’s deep understanding of the LEGO® consumer, Santoki LLC asked us to help launch their new line of buildable LEGO® Stationery with activations at LEGO KidsFest and Play Fair. In addition, we provide marketing and social media presence to build awareness
Boy Scouts of America/Family AdventureFest
Members of the national leadership team at the Boy Scouts of America asked us to provide a pilot experience for families that embodies the spirit of what the Boy Scouts are all about. We created the “Family AdventureFest,” a three-day event featuring physically appealing activities such as rock walls, paddle boarding, BMX racing and much more. In addition, we brought in nationally-known talent as well as local experts to do presentations. To track guests and provide the Boy Scouts with follow-up information, we obtained information about which activities attendees loved through a highly-successful RFID tracking system.
To mark the occasion of their 30th annivesary, OUTFILM CT asked BuzzEngine to help share the exciting news. Connecticut’s preeminent and oldest film festival, highlighting works by and about the LGBTQ community, will light up the screen at Hartford’s Cinestudio in June 2017. In advance of the festival, BuzzEngine is providing public relations services to spread the word and pack the house.
Best of Hartford Magazine
How do you celebrate the best of the best? When Hartford Magazine wanted to honor the winners featured in their annual "Best Of” issue, BuzzEngine made certain that the partygoers were treated like celebrities. From the perfect venue and lighting to music and dancing, from food and beverage to business and social networking - we did it all.
